Francois Meurens (DVM) completed his PhD (bovine herpesviruses) in Belgium - 2004. After a post-doc at VIDO-InterVac (Saskatoon), he established his research about mucosal immunology in pig and sheep in France (INRAE) and Canada (VIDO-InterVac). In 2015, he became Professor in immuno-virology at Nantes College of Veterinary Medicine where his team focused on the study of porcine host/pathogen interactions. He has also a strong interest for the pig as a biomedical model. Currently he is Professor of Veterinary Immunology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Université de Montréal.
